AQU Quilt Show - Journey

I just happened to be in the right place a the right time.
I am currently in Southwest Florida and was able to attend the
 Art Quilters Unlimited
Quilt Show
I took tons of photos...but I won't make you suffer through them all today. But I do want to show you the ones that have techniques that I would like to try in my own art quilts.

First up is this wonderful piece with over 200 different batik scraps.....

and look at her handmade beads. I have made these beads before but in order to pull this off the beads must all be exactly the same size. I'll need to practice some more.

I love the fringe

Next I love these two and how she took one idea and made two quilts with different fabrics.
Another good way to use up scraps.

That's it for today. It's a sunny day here and I don't want spend all my time indoors.
I do have my sewing machine with me and I am working on some mugrugs and a small art quilt for some swaps....I'll be back later this week to show you.
Have a wonderful day !
Marianne
