I love how our lives are woven together.

hopping fun

Hello and welcome to the
 Fall Fun Blog Hop!
A group of online friends decided
the holiday weekend in the US
would be a GREAT time to
get inky together,
and so we've put together
a
I little birdie told me some of these bloggers just
might have some  goodies for you, so be sure and
visit everyone on the list. Thanks for visiting us -
pour yourself a nice fall beverage and enjoy!

When I was invited to join this hop I was at first intimidated by the talent I would
be rubbing elbows with. But I was reassured that my work was up to par
and I had nothing to worry about. I'm still not so sure about that.
I love Autumn....           It's  one of my favorite 4 seasons.
the other three beingWinter Spring and Summer....
but not always in that order.

7 things I love about Fall

Sweaters
Soup
Leaves
Colors
Traveling
Cool Crisp Air
Planning for the Holidays

isn't it cool how the last 14 lines form a martini glass?
purely by accident.... I think

When Fall rolls around I start thinking about Christmas.
( have you seen enough leaves in this hop? )
Yep ...Gotta start making those gifts
While trying to decide what to share with you
I was playing around with an old gift card holder and
decided it was easy enough to make .
 It does require using scissors.

Does anyone remember scissors?
It seams I am the only person on the planet that doesn't use a die cutter.
I have one....somewhere....but I don't use it.
anyway.... after cutting it out and scoring and folding you get this

Since I am using Tim Holtz distress paper I gave it a bit of distressing.
here's a tip for you
By placing the score over the edge of my counter top I could easily scuff up the edges

you can get very creative with the closures
I guess I should have lined the inside.

If you make one you could do that

I made one with fabric too.

the backs
These would be great  made out of holiday paper and or fabric
and hung on the tree      ( there I go ...   thinking about Christmas again)
If you would like the pattern for this little gift card holder
let me know in your comment,  and I'll send it to you in an email

Since I failed in the "inky" part of this Blog Hop.
I hope I can redeem myself by giving away this journal

The front and back covers are clear acetate
There are 17 pages
a few pockets and one of the pages is an envelope.
I've added a few flowers and embellishments
but left a lot of room so the winner can add to it.
This would make a great scrapbook or art journal.

let me know if you would like to win this journal
and I'll throw your name into the drawing
I'll choose a winner Wednesday Sept 7th sometime around 6:00pm EST
( giveaway has been given )

thanks to Lydia for organizing this hop,
and thanks to Leslie for asking me to participate.

Your next stop on the hop is
 Samantha

Let's go see what she has come up with.

Your little purses are soooo sweet! I think they would be great for Christmas too. I have a couple nieces who have reached the 'impossible to buy for' stage but they love shopping! :D And I know what you mean about the scissors. I have a little pair with a spring handle. Make cutting so easy!
You really didn't need the journal to redeem yourself for not inking up for the hop but it IS pretty darn cute! Thanks for sharing! :)
